The University of Alberta can now add Guinness World Record Holder for the largest number of players in a Dodgeball game, with 4,979 players, to their long list of accomplishments. Thousands of students and staff descended upon the University of Alberta’s Butterdome to take part in the largest dodgeball game in the world and there were no shortage of screaming fans either. It was a particularly special event however because at a time in the semester when students are facing tight deadlines for projects and midterm season is upon them, the dodgeball game allowed them to take a break from their studies and take part in a community event with their fellow UAlbertan’s. Way to go Green and Gold!
